Obituary of Judith E. Greene

Judith Elaine Greene, 79, of Cortland, NY, passed away on August 24, 2018 in Cortland. Memorial service will be held at Wright-Beard Funeral Home on September 10, 2018 at 10:00 am with Pastor David H. Johnson of United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Cortland Rural Cemetery, 110 Tompkins Street. Judie was born in Dryden, NY to Harry and Mary Davenport on August 18, 1939. She went to high school at Cortland High School and graduated in 1956. She went on to earn an Associate degree in Applied Science from Tompkins Cortland Community College in 1985. She worked as an Office Manager for Gutchess International for 58 years. Time spent with her family was very precious to her. She enjoyed many years of boating on Skaneateles and Cayuga Lakes, attending Cortland Repertory Theatre productions and served as President of Professional Secretaries International. Judie is survived by her husband David, daughter Kellie Wheeler (Brian), son Dan (Lisa) and Granddaughters Ashley (Noah) and Amanda (Tim). Several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her Father (Harry Davenport) and Mother (Mary Davenport), Brother (Richard Davenport) and Sister (Sharon Porteus). Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
