Sandra M. Planty, 69, of Cortland passed away August 31, 2018 at Upstate Hospital with family by her side. She was born August 6, 1949 in Champlain, NY and the daughter of the late Raymond and Belena LaPan Mesec.
Sandra had been employed as a waitress for several local restaurants then took employment at the Cortland Hospital working in food services.
She is survived by her husband Brice Planty, daughters Cindy Kelley & Joanne Planty, sons David Planty & Scott Planty, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, her siblings Barbara, Sheila, Leshia, Wanda, Michele, Rick, Kevin, Bruce, Gerald, and Gary along with many nieces and nephews. Sandra and Bruce would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary September 5, 2018.
Sandra was predeceased by her parents, brothers Mitchell and Wayne, and grandson Josh.
A private memorial service will be held at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Cortland NY.
