Kelly Knapp Hamilton, 45, of Bridgeport, NY. formerly of Cortland, NY passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 5, 2018. She was born in Cortland on August 30, 1973 to Donald H. and Karen Stephens Knapp. She was a graduate of Cortland Jr. -Sr. High School and of SUNY Oneonta with a B.A. In English. She was employed as a Document Specialist at STF Services, East Syracuse, NY. Kelly enjoyed traveling and going to concerts of favorite musicians with her husband. Some other interests were family genealogy, reading, estate sales, 80s music, Yankees, collecting Pyrex. She was a strong supporter of causes she believed in. She loved her husband and family and enjoyed her nephews very much. Kelly is survived by her husband Brian K. Hamilton, Bridgeport; sister, Monica K. Williams (Roger) and her nephews Roger and Donovan Williams, Cortland ; mother, Karen S. Knapp, Cortland; Grandmother Juanita Knapp; aunts, Linda Cooper (Don) and Phyllis DuRocher (Gary); and cousins Jim Toner (Isolina), Matthew Toner (Nicole), Rebekah Zoll (Brian) ; her mother and father-in-law Mary and Ed Hamilton and brother-in-law John Hamilton, and many other relatives and good friends, as well as her and Brian's cats Starla and Luna. She was predeceased by her father Donald H. Knapp. A calling hour will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland, NY on Thursday, October 11, with a funeral service to begin at 12:00 noon with Rev. Archie Smith presiding. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, NY.
