Faire Cameron, formerly of Cortland,New York, passed away on October 30, 2018, at the Elderwood Health Care Facility, Waverly, New York, where she had been a resident for the past several years. She was born October 16, 1920, in Ithaca, New York, the daughter of Walter and Teresa Carpenter. She graduated from Ithaca High School and worked in the office of the New Central Market. After her marriage to Donald Cameron she moved to Elmira, New York, and in 1965 she and her husband moved to Cortland.

Faire was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Cortland where she sang in the choir, was a Deacon, and served on church boards. Faire enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband of fifty-seven years, Donald B. Cameron, her daughter, Dawn C. Ballard, and her sister, Beatrice C. Novidor. She is survived by granddaughters Lisa (Mark) Alexander and Sandi Ballard-Groft; great granddaughter Alexandria Pierson; a niece, Sharyll Novidor of Syracuse, New York and a nephew, Stanley (Linda) Novidor, of Daytona Beach, Florida, several grand nieces and nephews, and a special cousin, Carol Beckley, Florida. Faire is also survived by many special and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held at the United Presbyterian Church, Cortland on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. The family will greet friends one-half hour before the service. Interment will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Homer, New York.
