Obituary of Mary M. Harris

Mary M. Johnson Harris, 88, passed away November 19, 2018 at the Cortland Park and Rehabilitation Center with family by her side. She was born October 23, 1930 in Cortland the daughter of the late Daniel and Sarah Slocum Johnson. Mary had lived in Solon for fifty eight years. She graduated from Cortland High School in 1948 and was a home maker. She was a longtime member of the McGraw United Methodist Church joining in 1943. She is survived by her son William S. (Vicki) Harris of Massillan OH, her daughters Roxanne (Roy) Genson of Locke NY, Kathleen (Lynn) Mowers of DeRuyter NY, Linda (Ron) Batsford of Jordan NY, and Karen (Keith) Avery of Solon NY, her brother David Johnson of Calgary Canada, her sister Florence Terrill of McGraw NY, eleven grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary was predeceased by her husband William H. Harris in 2004 and her sister Martha Veno in 2013. At Mary's request services will be private this weekend for family, and there will be no calling hours. Spring Burial will be at the McGraw Cemetery.
