Obituary of Steve Sinetar

"Steve Sinetar passed away at home with family by his side on February 2, 2019. Steve is survived by his former college sweetheart turned wife, Toby; daughter, Jamie; son, Daniel and daughter -in-law, Jiajia; and grandson, Obi, the joy of his life. As Steve wrote in his younger days as a poet, "The more you see, the more you do. That's the why of me." Steve was an introspective man, who was deeply loyal and devoted to the friends that he made while growing up on Bethpage, Long Island and attending SUNY Cortland. Steve went on to call Cortland home for 50 years, albeit for a brief residency in Las Vegas to pursue his passion for poker. During his half-century in Cortland, Steve worked at PALL, golfed many a round at Willow Brook, read sci-fi , and cooked gourmet meals for his family and friends. Individuals wanting to offer their condolences are invited to visit the family home on Tuesday, February 5 – Saturday, February 9 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Steve elected to participate in the SUNY Upstate Medical University's Anatomical Gift Program.
