Sherry Wendel, 49, of Cortland, N.Y., passed away February 14th, 2019. A memorial service will be held Wednesday February 20th, from 1-2pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., in Cortland. A spring burial will be held at the Marathon Cemetery.
Sherry was born in Cortland on March 10th, 1969. She enjoyed bingo, going to the casino, and helping anyone in need.
She is survived by her mother Helen Whitney, her sister Cindy (Roy) Hurlbert; daughters Jessica (Robert) Fernaays, Kimberly Wendel, Victoria Wendel; her son Jordan Whitney, and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren; as well as her longtime boyfriend John McDonald.
A celebration of life will be held at the Salvation Army, at 138 Main St., in Cortland after the services.
