Obituary of Mary Jane Marshall

Mary Jane Marshall, born May 25th, 1948, loving wife, mother and grandmother, and lifelong resident of Cortland NY, passed away Friday, March 22nd after a brief battle with cancer at the young age of 70, surrounded by her loving family. Mary is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ronald Sr, her son Ronald Jr (Kathy), her most prized possessions, her grandchildren Julia and Nicholas, her brother Dewitt Perry and brothers in law Richard Arnold, Jim Marshall (Carol), Tim Marshall (Sharon), sisters in law Joann Sanford, Paula Riese (George), Francis Whitley (John) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Frances Hoffman Perry, and loving sister Ada Mae Arnold. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends. She was loved by everyone who met her, with a smile that lit up the room. A ray of sunshine to us all. Calling hours will be held at Wright Beard Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-6 PM followed by a time of sharing at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers please send donations to The Food Bank of Cortland County.
