Obituary of Alfred Marshall

Alfred Marshall Sr., of Summerhill passed away April 11 , 2019 at the Veteran's Hospital in Syracuse,NY. Alfred was a hardworking loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and veteran serving with the U.S. Air Force. He had been employed with Brewer Titchenor Corp. for many years. He also worked for Sam and Joe Cutia at Texaco gas station located in Cortland, NY as well as Founders located in Syracuse, NY After semi retiring he began farming, running his own welding shop which included the knowledge of tool and die welding, stick and mig welding, and junkyard on his property. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson custom built trike, messing around on his backhoe/tractor, going to local fairs and car shows and relaxing out doors with his dogs. He is survived by his kids Rosemary Korotky, Flo and Steve Elliot, Wendy and Chris Whible, Cathy Stage, Alfred and Mary Marshall Jr., Vincent Marshall Sr., Christopher Marshall, Dave Bennet, and 3 grandkids that he raised are Vincent Jr and Allison Marshall, Jesse Marshall, Julie Marshall and 24 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Elsie Gilbert Marshall, his children Shirley Bennett, David Marshall, and Kelly Marshall. Calling hours will be Thursday 12-2 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045. A graveside service with military honors will be Thursday 2:30 pm at Atwater Cemetery, Homer NY.
