Connie Lou Coon died peacefully in Homer, New York at the age of 67. Connie was born on January 29, 1952 in Vincennes, Indiana. She was a 1970 graduate of Gerstmeyer Tech High School in Terre Haute, Indiana. Connie loved camping with her children and grandchildren each summer and camping at the Coon Ballfield. She enjoyed reading, bowling, golfing, arts and crafts and Words with Friends. Connie is survived by Husband, Rodger W. Coon. Mother, Betty Spencer, Sisters, Jacquita Ann Foster (Ron), Carol Jean McConnell (Mike), Shirley Jo Fry (Bryan, Sr.) and Brother, John Albert Perry (Andrea). Brothers-in-law, Ray Coon (Karen) and Delbert Coon (Cyndi) and Sisters-in-law, Debra Kabanuk (Keith) and Roxanne Julian (Mike). Children, Harold Mark Benward (Jennifer), Timothy James Benward (Ingrid), Mindy Dawn Biehl (Mark), Kendra Jo Nathan (Simon), Kevin Coon and Jennifer Coon. Grandchildren, Cassandra, Kiley, Marcus, Brody, Aubrie, Mariah, Cameron, Megan, Wyatt, Alexis, Emma, D.J., Jacelyn, Jerrick, Erica, Reanna and Mykayla. Several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Father, John Wesley Perry; Brother, John Wesley, Jr.; and in-laws, Malcolm and Dobie Coon. Calling Hours will be held Monday May 20, 2019 from 3-5pm with a service to begin at 5pm at Scott Methodist Church in Homer, New York. A reception will follow at the Malcolm Coon Ballfield. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Connie's life.
