Elaine B. Parkin, 78 of Homer passed away on June 1, 2019 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. She was born on October 29, 1940 a daughter of the late Raymond and Barbara Bashaw McGibbon.
Elaine worked for Smith Corona on the assembly line until they closed. She then went to work for the Respite house where she built long term relationships with those she helped care for.
Surviving Elaine is her husband of 57 years, Clifford Parkin, four children, Michael (Laura) Parkin, Daniel Parkin, Mark Parkin, and Corina (Chris) Emery, nine grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, two brothers, Sherwood (Debra) McGibbon, Steven (Cindy) McGibbon, one sister Sheila (Robert) Bendle and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Herbert McGibbon
