Rosalie Barnes Wright, 95, of Homer passed away June 20, 2019 at Cortland Park and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 27, 1924 in Apalachin NY. Rosalie was raised in Apalachin but attended High School in Owego. While living locally, she worked at Wilson Sporting Goods, was proprietor of Rosie's Cakes and Supplies on Port Watson St., and then finished her working career at Tops Supermarket. In her spare time she enjoyed painting & camping. Her memberships included Cortland Eagle's, serving two terms as Auxillary President, and the Cortland Moose Lodge. She is survived by her children Cheryl (Richard) Nauseef, Sandra (James) Kline, Thomas (Patricia) Barnes, her step children Michael Wright, Larry Wright, Marilyn Cook, Leigh Wright, eighteen grandchildren, thirty seven great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Clifford and Dorothy Carman, her first husband Donald Barnes, her son Kenneth Barnes, second husband Elmer Wright, and her brother Harry Carman. Calling hours will be Monday 5-8 pm at Wright-Beard Fuenral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 10 am at Wright-Beard Funeral Home with Rev.
