Obituary of Darryl W. Stone

Darryl Stone 52, of Cortland NY passed away unexpectedly on June 20th, 2019 at his home due to trauma from previous injuries. Darryl was born in Cortland NY on October 15th, 1966 to the late Victor Sr. And Marie Stone. Darryl had a love for music and his guitars... Even though he couldn't sing or dance (ha-ha) A passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, which he hoped to own one day. He had a special bond with his sister Brenda, a bond that could never be broken and a special love for his brothers and sister, Vic, Mike and Bonnie. Darryl shared a gift that was special to him and that was the Gift of love, Kindness and a genuine loyalty to the world he lived in. Darryl had a way of bringing out the best in others and made them realize it's not what you have that is important, it is what you leave behind when you're gone. Darryl is survived by his brothers, Victor Stone (Sue) of Moravia, Michael Stone of Cortland, sisters, Bonnie Stone (Robert) of Florida and Brenda Dewey (Chris) of Homer, Nephew's, Joe Thomas of Tennessee, Mathew Stone (Kelsey) of Cortland and Chris Dewey (Chelsea) of Cortland, Nieces, Kristin Stone (Steve) of Homer, Brandee Brown of Florida, Jade Stone (Karl) of Nedrow and Krysandra Dewey (Nick) of Cortland. Many great nieces and nephews in addition to a lifelong friend, Rick Corl (Valerie) Arrangements will be handled by Wright beard funeral home and services will be private for the immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Upstate Burn Center, Syracuse New York in honor of Darryl Stone.
