Obituary of Georgia R. Lockwood

Georgia Lockwood 79, of Cortland, N.Y. passed away on July 14th, 2019 with her children and grandchildren by her side. Georgia was born July 2nd,1940 the child of John Guy and Loretta guy. Georgia was the wife of Albert S. lockwood Sr., they had six children together, Georgia worked at J.M. Murray Center and retired from there as the head seamstress. Georgia enjoyed doing puzzles, playing solitaire, watching game shows, her flowerbeds, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Georgia is survived by her Daughters, Vicky Lockwood and Charlotte Lockwood, her Son Brian Lockwood and her siblings Joan of Maryland, Juanita of Tennessee, Sharon (Rick) of North Carolina, Jack of North Carolina and Jim of Auburn. Georgia is also survived by her Grandchildren Anthony (Kellie) Lockwood, Gregory Lockwood, Russell (Katie) Lockwood, Georgia Lockwood, Taylor (Dennis) Gehm, Shanna Lockwood, Damian (Melanie) Lockwood, Josh (Crystal) Lockwood, Shenna Decker, Amanda (Jared) Alexander, Shane Alexander, Gerald (Mandi) Lockwood, and Mickey Lockwood. Georgia also has several Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special loved ones that she held close to her heart. Georgia was predeceased in death by the love of her life Albert Lockwood Sr., her Son's John F.K. Lockwood, Albert Lockwood Jr., and Russell L. Lockwood I. Georgia's family will be receiving friends and family on Monday July 22nd, 2019 from 10 A.M.- 11 A.M. at Wright- Beard Funeral Home with a burial to follow immediately after at St. Mary's Cemetery.
