Obituary of Dr. Richard E. R. Malcolm

Please share a memory of Dr. Richard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
You have to begin to tell the story of your life, as you now want it to be and discontinue the tales of how it has been or how it is." -Esther & Jerry Hicks An intellect, philosopher, scientist, comedian, naturalist and student of metaphysics, Dr. Richard Malcolm lived a life of learning, love, and laughter that he shared with his wife and children. His appetite for knowledge and knack for sharing wisdom through storytelling defined him as a human being and integrated into his relationships as an educator and intellectual companion for many. It is with deep sorrow that we experience and share the sad news of his death at the age of 78. Richard, who we called Dick, was a resident of Tully, New York for 30 years. He died in Cortland Hospital on Tuesday August 13th with his wife and soulmate beside him. Dick was loved by many, but none more than his life partner for six decades Claire. His spirit will be missed by: his infant sons Charles & Andrew (deceased), his daughters Tara (Charlie), Tanya (Dan), his grandchildren Serena, Maddison, Nesta, Winston and Carolina. Dick was the oldest of four children born to Peter and Margot Malcolm (Deceased). Dick's fun loving sister Robin Singleton will honour the spirits of him and his brother Craig Malcolm and sister Carol O'Grady (both deceased). Dick's closest mentor and kindred spirit was his Uncle David Malcolm, who alongside his wife Deanna and children Ian, Devon (Matt) were special to him. Dick was an uncle to six incredible Malcolm's: Tracey, Jeff, Peter, Elspeth, Evan and Audrey. Among many things, Dick made outstanding contributions to Defensive Research, Aviation and Aerospace Neurophysiology, Patent Research, Arctic Expedition and Metaphysical manuscripts and virtual dialogue. At this time we ask for your prayers, compassion and patience, as we take our time to decide how and when his life will be celebrated.
