Paul Zeke Leet, 83, of Blodgett Mills, passed away May 1, 2012 at St. josephs Hospital, Syracuse NY. He was born June 30, 1928 in Killawog, NY, the son of the late Harold Leet and Marie Carr McCoy.
Zeke was an area resident most of his life attending school and living in Blodgett Mills since the age of five. For several years Zeke was employed at the Holcolmb Farm and most recently with the Town of Cortlandville for over 25 years. He was a past member of the Blodgett Mills Church, Honorary member of the Solon Sportsmans Club, and longtime member of the National Federation of Wildlife. His hobbies included watching the trains, gardening, producing his own maple syrup, and hunting.
He is survived by his wife Sareta Leet of Blodgett Mills, siblings Linda (joshua) Suen of New Jersey, Gordon Leet of Fabius NY, Darrell Corl and Terry Corl of South Carolina, step daughters Sheila White of Syracuse NY, Nancy Slater of Tennessee, Papas girl Sarah White, grandsons Kyle Burleigh and Scott Slater, special niece Sadie Ross, special nephew Bruce Campbell, godchildren Dawn Trimm and Robert Ross, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Zeke was predeceased by his first wife Helen Leet in 1990.
Calling hours will be Friday 4-7 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045.
All are invited to a celebration of Zekes life which will be Saturday 12-3 pm at the McGraw Community Center.
Burial will be held at a later time at the Marathon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Solon Sportsmans Club or the American Cancer Society.
