Lora A. Hall, 87, of Solon NY, passed away at University Hospital on December 11, 2019. She was born October 12, 1932 the daughter of the late Darrell Sr. and Leah Wildman Hall. She retired in 1996 as Corporate Secretary at Cortland Line co. where she worked for 41 years. Lora was an avid bowler and golfer, she bowled first 700 (705) series by a woman in Cortland Bowling Association (now NYSWBA). She was inducted into CWBA Hall of Fame in 1980, she won several gold and silver medals in golf and bowling during the NYS Senior Games. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Life Member of the Women of the Moose Auxiliary, past member of the Eagle's Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and Knickerbocker Country Club. Lora is survived by her brothers Richard of Kingston NY, Alton of Cortland NY, many nieces, nephews, cousins. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Stanley, Ronald, Leroy, Darrell Jr., her sisters Betty Wild, Shirley Bilodeau, Doris Potter, Linda Homer, and Diane Mckane. A special thank you to Charlie and Doug Honour, Vicki and Jim Mulcahy, Ellen and John Steele, Sharon Trinkle, Fred Gardner and Pat Higgins and Rick Fuller for their help and assistance enabling her to remain at her residence where she lived for 80 plus years. Per her request there will be no calling hours, internment will be at the convenience of the family. Wright-Beard Funeral Home of Cortland is serving the family. In lieu of lowers donations may be made to CNY Living History Museum, Homer NY or SPCA McLean Rd., Cortland.
