I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. I remember how I would go to your house and I loved your mom’s salad that she would make for us. May she Rest In Peace and May God console you.

Catherine and her family were wonderful backyard neighbors to us for many years. I remember babysitting the children. We send our condolences to the family

Where would I or my daughter be if not for the wonderful, kind, loving, insightful advocate and role model that Aunt Catherine was? She was such an inspiration to myself and so many others. Where would so many families with children with disabilities be if not for the hours, days, months and years she fought for the rights of those with disabilities and their families.
It is because of Catherine McDonald and a handful of other parents that we now have early intervention services in NYS, that our children no longer have to be placed in institutions in order to receive the therapies they need, that our children's choices and voices are being heard and there will NEVER be another Willowbrook.
She had her hands full with a family and a full time job but still found time to volunteer so much time to help make milestone changes on a state level, at her local church and in her community. She was an Angel here on this earth and touched the lives of countless people.
Some of my most favorite memories of my childhood were riding the bus from Oneonta to McGraw or meet at the Blue Bird Restaurant in Norwich to spend two weeks with Aunt Catherine, Uncle John, Kathleen and Michael while John went to Oneonta to spend time at our house.
I am blessed for having had such a wonderful woman in my life and will miss her, her laugh and her Delaney sense of humor.

Kathleen, John, and all of your family.....my thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. My heart aches for your loss but rejoices at heaven gaining one of the most beautiful Angel's I personally have ever known. January 18th must be the day God calls home the best......my dad Chuck Sherwood passed away 22 years ago January 18th!! Your Mom was a pillar of our small village we call home!! She is definately a major piece in the history of McGraw and what a legacy she leaves behind. May you find peace in knowing she is at peace. Hugs and prayers through the days, then years ahead!! I can't put into words how I feel about your passing - you were my sister-in-law for 61 years, and you were always there for all of our family. I won't forget how you and Jim M. went to see Mart almost every week he was at Vet's home. You always spent time at our gatherings talking with your nieces and nephews and showing an interest in each and every one. I could go on and on, we cover a lot of years, but I will stop here. Am sure you are in heaven with the angels - and with your son Michael - husband, brothers, sister, nephew Tom - and lots of other family members. Love always, Bunny
