I knew Lori through SUNY Cortland. She was one of the friendliest and most selfless people I have had the pleasure of knowing. She made everyone feel comfortable and at home. She was personable and always had a smile on her face. I will be forever grateful to have met her and my continued prayers are with you all.

When I met Lori, I was 11 years old. From that time forward, I became a member of the family. Just another daughter to tease, teach right from wrong and she loved unconditionally. I was 16 years old the last time I saw my second mom. We kept in touch off and on through the years. Always full of love. I had messaged her just to talk and tell her I was finally going to come see them this summer. She replied by saying I miss my Texas daughter.
Last week, I heard the shocking news and couldn't believe it. I have hole in my heart. I won't get to see her beautiful smile or hear her laugh or hear her and John tease each. I wish I could have seen and talk to you again. I love you Lori and miss you very much.......

Lori's energy was pure joy and her light will not be extinguished. Beyond faith that provides comfort in the promise of eternal life, Einstein tells us that energy can neither be created nor destroyed - it can only change forms. And while it will be devastating not to have Lori present with us in the physical world, I have no doubt that her energy will be present with her family and friends in many forms in times of happiness and trouble in the days to come. Love is energy that never dies. I didn't see Lori often but when I did, I left in the glow of her smile and her kind heart. She will be remembered. <3

We knew the burns family from back in Odessa, TX where we all met through our boys, Casey, Matthew n Francisco hung around together playing and getting into mischief, at the apartments our families all lived at; Good friends we remained for years to follow. But then we were sadden when they moved away. And only kept in touch with Casey through FB. The Burns family were an amazing family. We know that losing Lori so suddenly is hard to understand, just know she will be remembered, as a beautiful soul. May you Rest In Peace Lori...
