Obituary of Shirley J. Kane

Shirley Kane,84, of Cortland passed away Thursday at Guthrie Cortland Nursing Facility surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 4, 1936 in Cortland, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose DiAngelo. She was a lifelong resident of Cortland, where she attended Cortland High School. Shirley later went on to cook for the Cortland City Schools. In her spare time she enjoyed golf and cooking, especially entertaining around her chopping block. She was also a Communicant at St. Anthony's Church in Cortland. Shirley is survived by her sons James (Wendy) Kane, Pat (Terry Bubb) Kane, grandchildren Joe Kane, Ashley and Amy Bubb. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Kane in 1981. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Tuesday at St. Anthony's Church in Cortland. There will be no calling hours.
