Philomena "Phil" (Gugluizza) Watts from Cortland, NY (born May 6, 1940) passed away unexpectedly February 27, 2020 in Syracuse NY. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Gugulizza, Mary (Morgia) Gugluizza and her siblings, Joseph Gugluizza, Jr. and Toni Henne. She is survived by her children, David Dunning (Andrea) and Amy Dunning-Valerio (John); and her pride and joy - her grandchildren, Nicholas Dunning, Melanie Dunning and Lucas Valerio. She also had many dear nieces and nephews that she cared for and loved deeply. Philomena was born in Cortland and graduated from Cortland High School in 1958. She was employed by Cornell, Fay's Drugs and Cortland County. She had numerous friends that were like family to her. She loved to spend her time reading, traveling and just spending time with friends and her loved ones. Her biggest and most important job was helping raise her three grandchildren in NY and Florida. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 11am to 12:45pm at St. Anthony's Of Padua Church 50 Pomeroy St. Cortland, NY 13045. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1pm Wednesday. Internment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
