Obituary of Catherine J. Partigianoni

Catherine J. "Dolly" Partigianoni, 93, of Cortland, N.Y. passed away on March 2, 2020. She was born on November 10, 1926 to the late Samuel and Vincenza Aloi. "Dolly" was a lifelong resident of Cortland being a Communicant of St. Anthony's Church as well as being a former member of the Altar Society. Over the years she has been employed with the Cortland Line Company, Grand Union, Grand Way and Tops and has been co-proprietor of Cort-Lanes since 1976 where you could always see her smiling face. She was an avid bowler and played softball but her true passion was golf and even recorded two hole in one's. Her family will cherish her memory as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. "Dolly" is survived by her sons John (Donna) Partigianoni and Daniel (Melissa) Partigianoni, her daughter Debra Mitchell and grandchildren Ashley, Tom, Matt Partigianoni, Greg and Brad Mitchell, Hannah and Andrew Partigianoni, Amy Canale, great grandchildren Brayden, Gianna, Cameron, Charles, Julian, Shelina, Madison and Anthony and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, John Partigianoni, brothers, Sam and Tom Aloi and her sister Gilda Wall. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, March 10th, 4-7PM at St. Anthony's Church, 50 Pomeroy Street, Cortland NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 11th, 11AM at St. Anthony's Church with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dolly's life at Cort-Lanes following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
