Jill H. Phelps, 57 of McLean Rd., Cortland, passed away March 2, 2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse NY. Jill was born April 10, 1962, daughter of the late Keith and Lenora Burlingame Hollister. Jill was a lifelong resident of Cortland and was always full of life. She graduated from Dryden Central Jr Sr high school in 1980 and attended TC3 majoring in Juvenile Criminal Justice. She also appeared in the 1978/1980 issue of Who's Who in American High. In high school she was active in the Footlighters and high school plays and musicals. She enjoyed being involved with her church and she took pride in everything that she did. Some of her hobbies included golf, cooking and traveling. She worked at Byrne Dairy for years and recently started a new position at Wendy's Corp. She was excited for her new adventure, where she would embrace what life had to offer. She loved spending time with her family and her two cats "Larry and Raggedy Ann." She will be missed by many with her infectious loving personality. Jill is survived by her husband, John H. Phelps. Her children, John and his wife Jessica Phelps and Jesse and his wife Amber Phelps, all from McGraw. Survived by her two beautiful granddaughters, Kala and Madison. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Seiferman and brother, Brent Hollister. Along with several nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and other beloved family members. Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Monday March 9th, 2020. The hours are from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland. Interment will take place later in the spring.
