Obituary of Gary G. Hollenbeck

Obituary for GARY GROVER HOLLENBECK Jr. (JR) Gary Grover Hollenbeck, Jr. was born on July 24, 1962 and died on April 6, 2020. He was a son of the late Gary Grover Hollenbeck, Sr. and Margaret Oralls Hollenbeck. His stepfather was James Sherman He is survived by his Son, Gary James Hollenbeck (Gary Harris), Steven Williams, his daughter, Tina his Siblings, Roxanne (Rocki) Hollenbeck, Indiana Hollenbeck Crowley (Husband Ron), James (Jimmy) Sherman, Robin Hoff Sherman, his nephews and nieces: Danny Marks Jr., Lisa Crowley, Tiffany Crowley (Michael), Kim Hollenbeck (Kory) as well as several other nieces and nephews, 4 grandnieces and 6 grandnephews. Gary was married three times to Lois South, Jodi Bean, and Nancy Hollenbeck and he was engaged to Jodi after 20 years, to re-marry her in August of this year. Gary Jr. left this life to be with his parents. He was his mother's birthday gift on 4/7/2020. JR was always "Mommy's Boy." JR was well known to many in Cortland, known by the names: Popeye, Blue, and Santa Claus (due to his long white beard). JR enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and spent many years in AA, as well as many years at local bars — Known as "the life of the party." He loved fishing, bowling, coloring, and watching Western and Horror movies. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
