Obituary of George W. Samson

George W. Samson age 98 passed away on April 29, 2020. He was born on September 3, 1921 in Cortland, NY a son of the late John and Cora Walrad Samson.
George graduated from Cortland Acedemy. He owned and operated the Sinclair / Citgo gas station on Rt. 281 for 18 years, then went to work for Homer School District until his retirement in 1985. He was a 75 year member of the Masonic Lodge.
George is survived by his loving wife, Roberta E. Snell Samson, and his children Denise "Penny" Curtis, Mary (Steven) Sholar, Sheila Sanford, Fred (Cheryl) Samson and Raymond Samson. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He adored his family and especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
George was predeceased by his brothers, Charles "Ted", John, Walter and Floyd Samson and sisters, Mildred White, Doris Cinquanti, one son, one grandson and one great grandson.
Per George's wishes there will be no formal funeral service.
