Obituary of Thomas Griffin

Thomas E. Griffin, 63, lifelong Cortland, NY resident, passed away August 10, 2020 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Tom was born July 10, 1957 to Stanley and Jane (Gerrard) Griffin. He is survived by his brother, James L. Griffin (Jeanne); his three children: Thomas J. Griffin (Cortney and Jaxon), Christina Griffin (Drew), and Kelly Griffin (Doug); his loving companion Brenda Stafford; the mother of his children, Janet S. Griffin; and his two grandchildren Brayden and Emma Davidson. Tom loved spending time outdoors on his boat or landscaping, and he enjoyed vacationing in Alexandria Bay. Tom adored his children and grandchildren and would do anything to spend time with them. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there won't be calling hours or formal funeral services. A private graveside memorial will be held by the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Wilmot Cancer Center (wilmot.urmc.edu) in Rochester, NY where Tom participated in a clinical trial for Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
