Obituary of Janet T. Bray

Janet T. Bray, 77, of Cortland, passed away at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, on August 12, 2020. Janet was born on June 9, 1943 in Penn Yan to her parents, the late Arthur Vickery and Catherine Moore. As the owner of her own crafting company, Janet's Crafts, Janet found much enjoyment in making crafts of all sorts. She was also an excellent cook. Janet was an excellent friend, as her friends were so important to her. She was a 15 year member of the Faith Baptist Church, a church that was so dear to her. Janet participated in many bible studies there. She is survived by her husband John Bray; her children Annette (Gary) Reasor, Kevin (Shelley) Razy, Kathy (Lloyd) Hatfield; grandchildren Morgan Hall, John Reasor, Jessica Mosall, Sawyer Razy, Jeffrey Hatfield, Christopher Hatfield, Alexis Hatfield; her twin sister Joyce Sampson. Janet was certainly loved and will be dearly missed by all; including her dog Samson. Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Saturday from 2:00-2:45 PM at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland. We will be following the NYS guidelines regarding capacity and social distancing. Face coverings are required.
