Norman Campbell, 78 of Virgil passed away on October 4, 2020 at his residence. He was born on November 26, 1941 in Vestal, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, father Ray W. Campbell and his Mother Marie Barden Campbell and his granddaughter Brooke Campbell. Norman was proud of his service in the U.S Army as a Radio Operator. He was a member of the D.A.V as well as the American Legion. He worked for over 30 years in banking; he retired from the First National Bank of Cortland. Norman is survived by his loving wife; Pamela, three daughters; Lisa (Emory Knight) Campbell, Terri (Paul) Thomas, Ashley (Derrick) Beaumont, two sons; Jeff (Sherry Howell) Campbell, Steven Campbell, five grandchildren; Nikki, Dillon, Jennifer, Liam, Alex, three great grandchildren, Kolton, Sophia, Alex. He is also survived by his two daughters from a pervious marriage; Lynette Vantage and Michelle (Mitch) Mott; as well as a brother in law, Hugh (Laura) Wheeler, a sister in law Cherie Wheeler. Calling hours for family and friends will be 11 AM – 1 PM Tuesday, October 13 at Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland. We will be following NYS Guidelines regarding capacity and social distancing. Face and nose covering are required.
