Obituary of Jack M. Comfort

Jack M. Comfort Sr, 81 of Cortland, NY, went to be the Lord on October 08, 2020. He was born on February 21, 1939 to the late Cyrus & Ethel (McHenry) Comfort. Jack loved to be behind the wheel exploring this country that he loved and was blessed to be able to see all the 48 Continental States as well as two States in Mexico and several of Canada's Provinces. Jack enjoyed sharing various stories of his adventures especially about his all-time favorite place Donner's Pass. When Jack was not on the road chances were good you would find him enjoying another one of his passions which was playing cards. Jack was always willing to play a good game of Pitch, but his game of choice was Poker and he looked forward to playing it Friday nights with his friends at the Friendship House. Jack loved his family more than anything else in this world. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Sandy (Albro), son Jack (Laurie) M. Comfort Jr., two daughters Cathy (Jamie Southern) Heller, and Vanessa Keas. Jack was immensely proud of his seven grandchildren Amanda, Andy, Bryan, Sammy, Jackson, Derek & Ryan (Cameron). Jack also leaves behind six great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jack is predeceased by his two sisters Della and Irene, his five brothers Benny, Clifford, Larry, Paul, and Roger, as well as two of his sons Brad and Kenny. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions there will not be any public services at this time but a small celebration of Jack's life. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers to please send a contribution in Jack's name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the American Heart Association
