Obituary of David W. Schlicht

David William Schlicht Jr. of Cortland, NY passed away at home on Thursday October 8, 2020. David was born November 27, 1954 to Glorianna Printup Schlicht Twomey Walrad and David W. Schlicht Sr. David worked construction for many years for Petracca's of Cortland, VP Construction and Freeman Construction. He was predeceased by both parents and grandson Walker White. He is survived by his wife Darlene (Baker) formerly of Utica NY. David was her world and she loved him and will miss dearly. He is also survived by his daughter Rachel (Stanley) White; granddaughters Erica and Julia, and grandson Jonathan: Siblings Audrey Suosmaa, Gloriann, Yonnie, Peter (Susan), Vivian, Nanette (John) Helgager, Annette (Peter) McMahon, Marjorie Frink, Leslie (Paul) Askew, Morrison (Valerie Whaley), Terri (Raubie) Smith, Noel (Tyller); and many loving nieces and nephews and Aunts and Uncles. David was interned at Hillside Haven Cemetery in Steamburg, NY on October 13, 2020. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. In leu of flowers donations can be made to the SPCA in David's name at 879 McLean Rd. Cortland, NY 13045.
