Obituary of Stacy P Rogers

Stacy P. Rogers, 59, of McGraw, NY passed away on Friday October 23, 2020 surrounded by her loving husband and two children. During this time, she showed unwavering courage, grace and care for others above all, including herself. She was born on April 14, 1961, the daughter of the late Seymour and Pauline Parker, and Karl and Sara Muller Marvin. Stacy was a lifelong member of the area and a graduate of McGraw Central School. She was the loving wife and best friend to her husband William "Bill" Rogers for 36 years. She was a dedicated member of the McGraw Booster Club for many years during her kids school years. Stacy's favorite role in life was being "Nana" to her six grandchildren; Landon, Sadie, Ayden, Jayla, Ethan and Eliana, the joys of her life. She was a spark of light that could brighten any room she entered and will be remembered for the love and devotion she gave to her family and friends. Stacy is survived by husband Bill, son Matthew (Danielle) Rogers, daughter Heather (Daniel) Farris, her brothers Karl (Kathy) Parker, John (Carla) Parker, Biagio “Butch” Abbatiello, Mike (Denise)Abbatiello, Mark (Linda) Abbatiello, sisters Deb (Bill) Van Atta, Deb Wendel, Darla Abbatiello Nonaka, and Cheryl Parker Stockton as well as the many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that touched her heart. She leaves behind her closest friends Robin Scoville Clark and Val Schmidt Hall both she loved dearly. The family would also like to send a very special thank you to Linda Luther of Cortland for being there for Stacy in her final days, she was a rock of support and understanding. And last but certainly not least is her furry, four legged buddy "Benny" who was not just man's best friend. Calling hours will be held on Thursday October 29, 2020 from 5-7pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. The funeral service and burial will be private. We will follow NYS guidelines regarding capacity and social distancing. Face coverings are required.
