Obituary of Edmund J. Mulcahy

Edmund J Mulcahy, 72 of Cortland passed away on October 29, 2020 at his residence. He was born on November 4, 1947 in Queens, a son of the late James J and Johanna "Chris" (Healy) Mulcahy. Ed was a graduate of McGraw HS, 1965. He served with the US Air Force, 1965 - 1969. He worked for various employers in the Cortland area. Special interests and hobbies were fishing, hunting, golfing, baseball and especially spending time with family and friends. Ed was predeceased by his parents and a brother John P Mulcahy. Ed is survived by his siblings, Anne Mulcahy of NC; James P (Vicki) Mulcahy of Solon, NY; Dennis Mulcahy of Co Cork Ireland; Timothy Mulcahy of NC; and Margaret (Michael) Sweeney of Utica, NY. Ed also had many nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces that he was very proud of and made sure to send many cards to celebrate birthdays. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Cemetery. Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. is assisting the family with arrangements.
