William J. Bump, 73, of Truxton, NY passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020. He was born on December 26, 1946, in Warsaw, NY the son of the late Claude Bump and Helen Young, and stepfather Carlton Griswold.
William loved his job as a Heavy Machine Operator. He was respected by many in the industry for his ability to operate those machines. His greatest love and joy were his children and grandchildren. William was a huge Buffalo Bills fan and loved animals. Together, he and Glory took in many pets over the years. William proudly served in the United States Army from 1966-1972.
He is survived by his wife Glory Creeden; son, William T. Bump (Jesse James); daughters, Cindy (Steve) Brown, and Jenifer (Chris) Crandall; his grandchildren Ross, Parris, Jazmynn, and Raven; his siblings Betty (Ted) Clark and Richard (Joan) Bump; special brother-in-law Kristopher; numerous nieces, nephews, and longtime friends. William is predeceased by his brother Robert and sister-in-law Kathy.
William requested to be cremated and a celebration of life will take place during the summer when the threat of spreading the virus is behind us. He wouldn’t want anyone to become ill.
