Louise E. DeHart, 86, of Cortland, NY passed away on Thursday December 24, 2020. She was born on October 24, 1934 in Interlaken, NY, the daughter of the late Howard and Maude Brewer VanDoren.
Louise loved sewing, crafts, reading, and making ceramic dolls. She retired from BorgWarner in Ithaca, NY.
She is survived by her husband James DeHart of 46 years, her children James Hile, Diane Teribury, Sandra (Ken) Dugan, and Debbie (Ken) Hoyt, her bother in law William (Helen) DeHart, her sister in law Dorothea (Randy) Fitzsimmons, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Louise is predeceased by her sons William Hile Jr., and Michael DeHart, and her brother in law Douglas DeHart.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday December 31, 2020 from 12-2pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland, NY. Burial will follow at the Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden NY. We will be following NYS guidelines regarding capacity, facial coverings, and social distancing.
