Jacqueline Joy Wheeler 3/10/61 – 12/20/20 Jacqueline Wheeler, "Jackie", "JJ", "Ducky" passed away in the early hours of December 20th, 2020 at the young age of 59. She was born on March 10, 1961 to Donald and Margaret Wheeler. Jackie was predeceased by Robert Allan Reid, her ex-husband and father of her children, as well as her fur baby Mandy. Jackie graduated from Groton Central School in 1980. She dedicated her life to caring for family and other people in need. Jackie is survived by her parents, Donald and Maggie Wheeler of Florida, her brother Tom (Hailey) Wheeler of Florida. Her sons Leslie Reid, Donald Reid (Lynzi) Reid and daughter Cassie Reid all of Cortland. Her grandchildren Gracie Wolf, Serenity Wolf, Jayden Wolf, Fiona Reid, Sullivan Reid, Brooke Wheeler and Langston Wheeler as well as many nieces and nephews. Special cousin Toni Miller. Special friends Lori Daley and Tammy Montgomery. There were many extended children and grandchildren that were not blood but still considered family. Jackie was a home health aide to many. She dedicated her life to helping others. She had the biggest heart of anyone. She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother and friend evidenced by the many people in her life. She was employed at Capco and had also worked for Elder Choice caring for others. Jackie was not only a mother to her children but a best friend who moved heaven and earth to help them. Always there to listen and give advice as needed. Her parents love and miss her daily. This is not the way things should be. "Hey sis we had a great life together and I'm going to miss you" – Wheels Rest in peace cuz…we got this! Jackie's wishes were to be cremated and due to covid there will be no services. However in August the children will be having a celebration of life at a location to be determined.
