Doris Mae (Mack) Foster 91 of Homer, NY, passed away on January 2, 2021 in Cortland New York. Funeral services will be private for family and close friends on Tuesday at 2pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. with family friend Deacon Stephen Smith of St. Mary’s Church officiating. The service will be live streamed, Tuesday at 2pm, on https://m.facebook.com/wrightbeardfuneralhomeinc/ Burial will follow at a later date in the Spring of 2021 at Scott Union Cemetery in Scott, NY. Doris was born in the Town of Cortlandville to Ruth (Colwell) Mack and Charles L. Mack on December 26, 1929. She attended Cortland School. She was employed by Smith Corona for over 30 years and worked her way up to department manager. She loved country music, playing cards, word finds, crossword puzzles, camping, going to Vernon Downes & bowling. She was one of the best cooks and could make a great meal out of anything. She and her late husband George were active members of the Homer Elks. Doris is survived by her sons James (Sherry) of Homer, William (Cindy) of Newark Valley, David (Theresa) of Homer and Lawrence (Lori) of Cortland. She has 12 grandchildren, Steve, Eric, Jennifer, Julie, Brian, Timothy, Luke Christine, Brittany, Michael, Andrew and Taylor and 10 great grandchildren: Sarah, Austin, Cecelia, Colin, Cora, Cooper, Gerrit, Anthony, Celeste and Julianna. She is also survived by one sister Betty Stowell-Arizona, sister in law Ruth Burnham of Fayetteville, NY and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Charles, husband George, brothers Carl, Leo, Charles, Harold, Robert and sisters Donna & Gloria. She is also predeceased by two granddaughters, Paige Foster and Emma Foster.
