Obituary of Ronald Carr Sr.

Ronald Carr Sr., 76, of Cortland, NY passed away on January 5, 2021. He was born on February 28, 1944 in the town of Barker, NY, the son of the late Donald and Hilda Campbell Carr. Ronald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Ronald was a lifelong member of the McLean Fire Department. He was also a long time member of the Cortland Country Music Park. Ronald loved taking trips with Q Country. He worked at Paul Trinity for 36 ½ years and retired in 2006. Ronald is survived by his wife Dorothy “Dottie” Carr, his children Brenda (Jim) Kane, Penny (Duane) Hill, Ronald Jr. “Corky” (Teresa) Carr, his brother Donald Carr, his sister Sadie Carr, his grandchildren Mark (Melissia) Stramba, Shane (Chelsie) Stramba, Vance Dixon, Bryce Dixon, Wesley (April) Hill, Sarah (Pat) Bouton, Duane (Bethany) Hill Jr., Luke (Tash) Burhans, Amy (Kevin) Guernsey, Cortney Carr, and Timothy Carr, his great grandchildren Aubrielle, Emmett, Kae, Sadie, Lilly, Keegan, Johnathon, Blaine, Spencer, Payton, Josie, Logan, and Landon, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by Walter, George, Cheryl, Patricia, Alton, and Raymond. Services will be private. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Contributions can be made to the Country Music Park or the McLean Fire Department.
