Obituary of Wanetta Gramch

Wanetta M. Gramch, 85, of Willet passed away Friday, January 15th, 2021. Wanetta was born to Ben and Clara Decker on April 21st, 1935. Wanetta is survived by her brother, Ben Decker. Wanetta and her husband, Paul, were married on April 25th, 1953 and moved to Willet, NY. In 1960 they purchased a farm on Stump Pond where they spent the rest of their lives. Although Paul and Wanetta had no children of their own they had many nieces, nephews and godchildren that she loved dearly. She always said that they filled the void. In her later years Wanetta also raised her Great Niece, Jazzmine. Wanetta worked at Cortland Corset Company for nearly 40 years before retiring to take care of her husband Paul who had fallen ill. Wanetta was widowed in 1999. Wanetta will always be remembered for speaking her mind and helping who she could. A burial ceremony in the spring will be announced at a later date.
