Neil E. Tinker, 84, of Cortland passed away January 26, 2021. He was born September 9, 1936 in Montezuma NY.
Neil lived in the Cortland most of his life. He served with the US Navy from 1956-1960 and was honorably discharged. During his working career he had been employed with Brewer-Titchner Corp., Brockway Trucks, and most recently at SUNY Cortland where he retired from. In his spare time enjoyed hunting, bowling, bird watching, and waterskiing on DeRuyter Lake. Neil and his late wife of 57 years Marlene had wintered for 38 years in Florida at the Coconuts. Neil enjoyed spending time with family and his extended family down south. His love of family was a special gift that that they will cherish in their hearts always.
He is survived by his daughters Charlotte and Dale Plunkett, Robin and Chris Bushnell, his grandchildren Krystle, Ashlee, & Jenifer, along with great grandchildren Isaiah & Elijah, his siblings Neva Jeffery and Evelyn Kniffen, along with many nieces and nephews. Neil's family would like to extend a special thank you to his care givers Doug and Dee, and Helen. Their care will be forever remembered.
Neil was predeceased by his wife Marlene, his parents Ralph and Myrtle Tinker, and his siblings Elizabeth Richardson, Lucretia Treacy, Ray Tinker, Eleanor Mack, Carlton Tinker, Isabelle Spadolini, Elwin Tinker, and Lyle Tinker.
