Edna L. (Gregory) McGowan, of Marathon, NY went home to be with her Lord on February 3, 2021. Edna was a loving, generous, caring person and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Edna was born August 18, 1935 in Craigsville, VA a daughter of the late Edward and Sena Gregory. Edna worked at Wilson's Sporting Goods, Smith Corona in Groton and had also been a devoted caregiver for Rocky Mauler. Edna was very creative and had an eye for decorating. She enjoyed crafts and refinishing furniture. Edna liked to travel, taking several bus trips with Williamay, and camping with her husband. Edna was an avid reader, but her greatest joy was spending time with her great-grandson Jacob Alan Jones and great-granddaughters, Ambrianna Elaine Lockwood and Lilly Rose Jones. Survivors include her husband Ronald of 37 years, her granddaughters Crystal Jones, Melanie, Emily and Dawn Little, her grandsons Brandon (Amanda) Jones and Kenneth Little Jr., her son-in-law Alan Jones, 10 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly, and special friends Sid and Belinda Hiemstra. Edna was predeceased by her daughter Kathy Jones in June 2007 and son Kenneth Little in July 2007, and her two sisters Mary Margaret and Beulah May. There are no calling hours and funeral services will be private as Edna desired. They will be streamed Saturday at 4 PM directly at https://www.hdezwebcast.com/show/edna-mcgowan or by visiting The Wright-Beard Funeral Home website where Edna's obituary may be seen and selecting funeral stream. Internment will take place in the spring in Glenwood Cemetery in Homer.
