Dennis W. Tuttle passed away peacefully in his home on February 4, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer. Dennis graduated from Homer High school in 1961, he went on to attend SUNY Albany where he earned his Bachelor's in Education in 1965, Dennis went on to earn his Masters and took courses to become a Highschool Principle. Dennis proudly started his teaching career in Special Education in the Chicago area, he returned to NY where he taught in Syracuse, and in Lafayette. Dennis finished his teaching career at The Cortland County Alternative High School. While attending college Dennis was a winning cross-country runner and was featured in the Who's Who of college Students book. Dennis was an avid gardener, who enjoyed walking his gardens and showing them off to anyone who had an interest. Dennis had a flare for decorating and displaying his many antiques and enjoyed decorating the oversized Christmas tree with antique decorations every year for his family to enjoy. Dennis did not shy away from belting out a showtune while dancing in his living room. Dennis was predeceased by his parents Harold "Bud" and Patricia (O'Conner) Tuttle. His Brothers, Marvin "Pat", Michael "Mike" Tuttle, Harold, Peter, and Herman Rofe and his special Aunt Gladys. Dennis is survived by his stepmother Hannelore Tuttle, his brother Luke Tuttle, Sisters Lucile Tuttle and Mary (Jerry) Brown, His son's Thurston Bailey and Tyler Tuttle, grandchildren Jaylen, Unique, Kiarah, Denelle, and Noah. Two great grandchildren, several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews, and several students who will forever hold king TUT near to their hearts. The family will hold a Memorial in his honor sometime in June.
