William David Bristow 73 of McDonough passed away March 2, 2021 at Guthrie hospital he was born May 21, 1947 in Sante fe NM, the son of the late Herman and Velma Hobbs Bristow. Bill had a passion as an instructor and long haul truck driver, he and his wife drove and lived in various states before settling in the area in 2008. His family will cherish his memory for his love and kindness. Whenever gun smoke is on we will think of Bill. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Joan (McCall) Bristow. Children Tracy (Ron) Allen, Christopher Bristow, Billy Ray Bristow, sisters Holly (Roy Lee) Falconer, Susan Dalrymple, Kathy Walker. His grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Herman and Velma, a son John Bristow and infant brother Jimmy Bristow. A calling hour will be held Monday 12-1 pm with a funeral service to begin 1 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045 with Fr. Joseph Zareski presiding, who just baptized Bill last week. Social distancing and masks are required.
