Edith Eloise Webster Hall moved to her heavenly home on Friday, March 19, 2021, just six days before her 100th birthday. She was born in Homer NY on March 25, 1921, to Melville Webster and Martha Craft-Corning Webster. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald W. Hall and her son David R. Hall. She and her husband Ron had been married for 75 years before he went to his heavenly home. She is survived by her daughter Linda Prentice (John), her daughter-in-law Lorraine Hall, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter whom she never got to see because of the COVID-19 nursing home lockdowns. Edith was an accomplished church pianist and organist for over 70 years. She was a charter member of what is now known as Crown Alliance Church in Cortland, NY. She worked at Smith-Corona in Cortland, NY and the Elizabeth Brewster House in Homer, NY for many years at each location, at the Brewster House into her eighties. For over 30 years, Edith and Ron presented worship services to the residents at the Cortland Nursing and Rehab Center on Clinton Street. Edith also volunteered her musical gifts for several years at the Brewster House. Edith was a resident of the Cayuga Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ithaca, NY for almost 2 years before her death. Appreciation goes out to Kevin Dean and all those who cared for her, especially during her final days. A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 27, 2021 at 2pm at the Dryden Baptist Church, 138 Virgil Rd., Dryden, NY.
