Obituary of Gail Beattie

Gail Beattie, 56, of Cortland passed away unexpectedly March 29, 2021. She was born January 19, 1965 in Cortland. Gail was a lifelong resident of Cortland graduating from Cortland high School. She then went on to Tompkins Cortland Community College and received an associate's degree as a medical office assistant. Gail had been employed with the Cortland County Mental Health Dept. for over thirty years. She was a longtime member of the United Presbyterian Church, serving as past Deacon, and was active with the Christian Education Committee. Gail enjoyed quilting and was a member of the P's and Q's Quilting Group. She is survived by her husband of thirty three years Thomas Beattie, her son Connor Beattie, her mother Patricia Ferro French, her sister Lori (Dave) Johnson, nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by her father Frank Ferro. Calling hours will be Tuesday 1-2:15 pm with a memorial service to follow at 2:30 pm at the United Presbyterian Church, Church St., Cortland NY.
