Babe B. Prentice, 54, of Marathon NY, passed away Sunday at St. josephs Hospital, Syracuse NY. Babe had lived in Marathon for many years. He was employed by Highgate Manor Nursing Home, Greenbriar, and most recently Marietta Corp. In his spare time enjoyed woodworking, canning, gardening, and spending time with grandchildren, family, and friends. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Prentice of Marathon, son Michael (Stephanie) Prentice of Clay NY, daughters Sally (Robert Sutton) Prentice of McGraw, and Chera (Gordon) Sutton of Marathon, brothers Roger of Pittsfield, John of Homer, Mark (Hazel) of Ithaca, Ace (Cindie), David (Kim) both of Marathon, sisters Rose of Monticello, Penny (Jed) Reinlieb of South Fallsburg, Leona (James) Toolan of Homer, Patti (Elmer) Irwin of Marathon, Tami (James) Bryant of Cortland, 21 grandchildren, step father James Golley of Virgil, step children Donald, Eileen, Becky, and Jamie, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Elmer and Betty Prentice Sr., brothers Elmer Jr., Donald, William, and Richard.
