Obituary of Eleanor “Elly” Nelson

Eleanor “Elly” Nelson 71 of Locke, NY passed away peacefully on April 21, 2021, with her loving husband and children by her side. Born on May 24, 1949 to Robert and Jennie Plummer. She worked at the Moravia Central High School Cafeteria for over 20 years and recently retired in June 2020. She enjoyed traveling with her husband on their motorcycle. They also enjoyed going to the casinos. Every year she looked forward to her “sister’s trip”. Eleanor is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jack Nelson. Her three children Louanne Ferri (Jeff), Tina Hall and Elwin Hall JR. (Stacy). Four stepchildren Dene Nelson (Debbie), Brian Nelson (Brownie), Stann Nelson (Judi) and Melanie Ginsberg (Peter). Two sisters Connie Eaton and Mary C…. (Mike). Grandchildren Derek, Nicholas, Dylan, Montana, Cameron, Cayleb, Kelsey, Wyatt, Rachel, Hannah, Dennis, Jack, and Emma. Great grandchild Grady. Her stepdad, Frank Haven and many nieces and nephews. Eleanor is predeceased by her first husband Elwin Hall Sr. Mother and father, Robert Plummer and Jennie Haven, her sister Sherry Dickerson, brothers Robert and Russell Plummer. Calling hours for friends and family will be held on Monday April 26, 2021 from 3pm-5pm at Wright-Beard Funeral Home. We will be practicing social distancing and face coverings are required.
