Obituary of Marilyn L. Schindler

Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marilyn L. Schindler (Mosch) - born July 18, 1931 in Elmira, NY passed away on May 3 2021 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. She was a daughter of the late Philip A. Mosch and Inez L. Mosch (Hulslander). Survived by: Brother Arnold W Mosch (Patricia), niece Jennifer Foster, Sister-in-law Helen Hedden, Stepdaughters Pam (Jeff) Coole, Sandra (John) Cunningham, grandaughters Kelly Kaminsky, Sara (Josh) Falk and Jessica (Matt) Craig, and many cousins. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Henry W Schindler, to which they shared countless trips and excursions around the country in their life together. Henry was the most caring husband, and Marilyn was his favorite person. The love they shared was evident in the winks and smiles they shared over the years. She worked many years as an office manager for Metropolitan Insurance Company in Elmira. Marilyn had a best friend and loving caregiver, Connie Masten, who was by her side for over seven years, and even spent time with her in her last days. They shared a special bond, to which the family is forever grateful. Marilyn was one of the sweetest, kindest and most giving humans who ever walked the earth, and her presence will be missed dearly. Her compassion and love for the world around her will always be cherished by those who knew her, especially her family. She never stopped smiling, even in her final days, giving her family peace and comfort in her passing. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful, loving staff at the Elizabeth Brewster House in Homer, NY and the caring nurses from floor 2C and Emergency Room staff at Guthrie Cortland Hospital. Without them all, we might not have had the years we had with her to enjoy her and give her all our love. Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. is assisting the family with arrangements.
