Obituary of Marc R. Ladd

Marc R. Ladd, 66 of Owego, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 2, 2021. Marc was born December 20, 1954 in Cortland to the late Donald R. & Carole Hales Ladd. He lived most of his life in the Cortland area only having moved to Owego in the last five years or so. He attended Cortland City Schools and graduated from Cortland High School in 1972. While in school, Marc excelled at all sports, particularly football, baseball, wrestling and basketball. After graduating he played men's slow pitch softball for many years. He was also a veritable encyclopedia of knowledge and rules for just about any sport of which one could think. Marc was also an avid fisherman and hunter for many, many years starting in childhood. Marc worked for over twenty years at Brewer-Titchener Corporation in both the carriage goods and the forging divisions until retiring. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer (David) George and Sara Ladd, both of Homer. He was predeceased by his son Donald R. Ladd (Donnie) on May 11, 2015. He is also survived by his sister Robin (Timothy) Stramba of Cortland, brother William (Holly) Ladd of Liverpool, niece, nephews and many cousins. There will be a graveside service at Virgil Rural Cemetery on Friday, May 28, 2021, 10:00 am.
