Please share a memory of Marc to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marc N. Efimenko, 66, of Cortland passed away on May 24, 2021, at University Hospital in Syracuse after a prolonged struggle with cancer. He was born on May 18, 1955, in Cortland to his parents Andrew Efimenco and Mildred (Shutts) Efimenco. Marc made his career at the Pall Trinity Corporation working in the maintenance department, and, further, was the proprietor of his own small business in town, "Efimenko's Computer and Repair." He was a fan of classic rock and country music and played the guitar and keyboard. Known as "Dadig" to his children, Marc also privately enjoyed armchair astronomy and science fiction movies and television, especially Star Trek. He will be fondly remembered for his philosophical contemplations of alien life on other planets and life after death. He is pre-deceased by his first wife, Kathleen Efimenko, and survived by his second wife, Mary Latimer-Efimenko; his son Aron Efimenko; daughter Ame Efimenko; and brother, Andrew Efimenco and his family, and sister, Michelle DeBellis and her daughters. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, Inc. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday at 11am, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cortland. Burial will be private. At the request of the family, they please ask all to wear masks at the services. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the American Cancer Society for cancer research. To offer online condolences, please visit www.wright-beard.com
