Obituary of Thomas Edward White

Thomas E. White, 74, of Cortland, passed away on July 1, 2021. He was born on July 18, 1946 in Cortland, to his parents the late Edward White and Dorothy Snyder-White. A lifelong community member of Cortland, Thomas grew up on Owego Street. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp, serving his country for four years. Thomas enjoyed gardening, shooting, and fishing. He also enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and to California to see his family and visit the casinos. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy White; his son Jeff White; stepchildren Brian (Brandi Ferri- Gilbert) Gilbert, and Laura (Damon) Lindsay; his siblings Donald (Sue) White and Jane (Donald) Lewis; his grandchildren Isabella White, Sophia White, Lilyan Lindsay, Tegan Lindsay, Kameron Gilbert, and Zoe Gilbert. In addition to his parents, Thomas is predeceased by his daughter-in-law Lorrie White and his sister Elaine White. A calling hour will take place on Tuesday July 6, 2021 from 5 to 6pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home with a service to follow at 6pm.
